TRUST

Your data stays yours. Always.

You're trusting us with your customer information. Here's exactly how we handle it, where it goes, and what happens if you leave.

THE FUNDAMENTALS

What we do with your data

Stored securely

All customer data is held on encrypted, UK and EU-hosted infrastructure. We use Supabase, a trusted enterprise-grade database platform. Your data never sits on a laptop, a spreadsheet, or an email thread.

Never shared or sold

Your customer data is used to run your automations. That's it. We don't sell it, share it with third parties, use it for marketing, or do anything with it that you haven't explicitly asked for.

Available on request

Request an export at any time and we'll send it over. It's your data, and your right to have it whenever you want it.

CALENDAR ACCESS

What we see and what we don't

JAR connects to your Google Calendar to read appointment data. That's how we know when a customer has been in and when they're due back.

We only access the calendar you choose. If you have a personal calendar and a business calendar, we connect to the business one only. We never see your personal events, emails, contacts, files, or anything else in your Google account.

The connection uses Google's official OAuth system. That means you grant access through Google directly. We never see or store your Google password.

ACCESS CONTROL

Who has access to your data

You

Full access to your customer database, message history, and follow-up status through your JAR portal. Your data is always available to you, and you can request deletion at any time.

JAR

We access your data to build and monitor your automations. This includes your customer records, appointment history, and message delivery status. We don't browse your data for fun. Access is functional, not casual.

Nobody else

No unnecessary access. The only third parties involved are the service providers listed in our Data Processing Agreement, and they only process what's needed to deliver your messages and reports.

IF YOU CANCEL

What happens when you leave JAR

1

We export your data

You get a full copy of your customer database in your preferred format. Every customer, every record, every piece of data we've collected on your behalf.

2

We disable your automations

All messages stop immediately. No customer will receive any further communication from JAR on your behalf.

3

We delete our copy

Once you've confirmed receipt of your data export, we permanently delete all your data from our active systems. Encrypted backups may be retained for up to 90 days as part of standard infrastructure before being automatically purged.

After your minimum term, no penalties. No lock-in fees. No ‘are you sure?’ We'd rather you left cleanly than stayed unhappily.

QUESTIONS

Common data questions

Yes. JAR operates under UK GDPR. Your customers' data is processed lawfully, stored securely, and only used for the purposes you've approved. Our Data Processing Agreement covers this in full.
Yes. If a customer contacts you or us asking for their data to be removed, we delete it from the JAR system. You should also remove it from any other systems you use. This is their right under GDPR and we fully support it.
We notify you as quickly as possible. We tell you exactly what was affected, what we're doing about it, and what you need to do. We also notify the ICO if required. Our systems are built to prevent this, but we have a clear process in case it happens.
No. Your data is used to run your automations and, if you're on JAR Results, to generate your AI business analysis. Nothing else. It is not used for training, research, or any purpose beyond what you've signed up for.
